​"Dyslipedemia" refers to atypical levels of lipids in the blood. There is always fat in blood, but when its levels exceed normal limits, specialists call this “hyperlipidemia”, referring to abnormally elevated levels of lipids in the blood. The condition is called dyslipedemia because the body can no longer adjust the levels to equilibrium; the balance is broken.​
